Your opinions that don't mesh well with the general demographic's.

No "Re:Zero and Erased is shit, and the like" opinion . At this point that is the consensus.

In that case, would my opinion of "Re:Zero is fucking great, and Erased is just 'Good'" be unpopular opinions?

Other than that...

- I think Sword Art Online is alright. Not great, but nowhere near as bad as the haters make it out to be. It's a fun anime to pop on Netflix every once in a while, and at the very least it has strong visuals, music, and acting. Also, my problems with the show has nothing to do with what everyone else complains about. I honestly don't care if Kirito's overpowered or whatever, as I have more of a thing against overly pathetic and incompetent MCs (which is why I prefer SAO over Accel World.) Also, I actually really like SAO II.

- I don't like One Punch Man as much as everyone else does, mostly because I'm not a fan of the whole "uncreditied hero" thing. I do still really like it, though.

- I can't stand any of Kunihiko Ikuhara's work. I find his style insufferable.

- Psycho-Pass 2 is the worst anime sequel ever. Yes, worse than Haruhi season 2.

Only thing I can really think of is that I see Madoka as a lesser version of Mirai Nikki

EDIT
oh and also the ending to Oreimo is beautiful despite censorship

All Suzumiya Haruhi anime are bad, including the Disappearance movie. And the 2nd season is (slightly) better than the first.
Shingeki no Kyojin has very good story and the pacing in the 1st season wasn't off. Also, the show deconstructs some of the shounen tropes.
Most harems suck, but still harem>>>reversed harem (this is an unpopular opinion if you take into account that I'm a female who generally likes anime with bishies).
Nichijou is the worst comedy sol I've seen so far in this medium.

Anime is getting better and better now that they have a full spectrum available to them. Where once, animation may not be sufficient to tell a narrative and they have to rely on shitty narration and character monologue, now if they could only realize it and follow some great recent examples, we'll continue to have quality anime on our hands. Even if they have to pump out more mediocre shows to keep money flowing from their otaku audience. I can work with one quality show every season or every other season. It's not like that's not the same story for every other medium of entertainment.

Makoto Shinkai can't write for shit and is one of the most overrated writer/directors ever. All he has going for his stuff is visuals. Absolutely nothing but visuals.

Madoka isn't half as amazing as people say it is.

Miyazaki ain't that good either.

Code Geass is pretty bad too, for something that is in the top 20. Character designs are fine, though. Nothing wrong with them.

Just to list a few:

-Nisemonogatari is good, more of what people actually credit it
-Index > Railgun
-Fate/Stay Night > Fate/Zero
-Mayoiga wasn't a masterpiece and is bad, but is not as bad as some people say.
-Fanservice =/= bad
-SAO is far from being the worst anime ever created
-Crusch is Re: Zero's best girl
-Madoka is a decent anime, but it didn't made me care enough for its characters, so the drama falls flat. It also has one of the most borings MC ever made
-I can't understand how Mami Tomoe has over 1000 favourites here in MAL when she was just fodder, the same to Iwasawa from Angel Beats
-Hataraku Mahou-Sama is not that funny, the same can be applied to Sakamoto desu ga?
-I don't really understand how Blue Exorcist is that high ranked in popularity in MAL when the series doesn't has nothing special
-Dai Mahou Touge is the best magical girl anime ever created
-Evangelion it's not that difficult to understand if you pay attention
-Vento Aureo is not the worst JoJo Part, and have the best battles of all the franchise
-Pucci is a better villain than Dio (I still like Dio, though)
-Danganronpa's first anime is good
-Baccano is a fun anime, but not even close to be a masterpiece
-DurararaX2 is good, even if the ending wasn't perfect
-Onii-sama is a very fun character to watch

Ohhh boy
- Erased's ending was good.
- Mawaru penguindrum is more of Ikuhara's magnum opus than Utena is.
- Ikari Shinji is one of the greatest characters in the history of media as a whole.
- Konosuba just isn't that funny.
- Kiznaiver is the best trigger show.

Black Rock Shooter is actually a good anime, it may doesn't make anny sense for some people, but depending how you interpret the message of it it's not as stupid as it made out to be. Plus the CGI battles were quite entertaining.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

Kill la Kill was ugly and obnoxious and I think it's ridiculous how much depth people ascribe to it. The interpretations of it also seem made up a lot of the time, let alone how ridiculously inconsistent they are, making it seem more like a "this is what i want to believe it means" rather than "this is what i think it means." I totally understand that interpretations can vary on an individual basis, but when the range is as wide as it is with KLK, ranging from feminist sexual empowerment to a critique on the modern anime industry's reliance on sexualization to being a love letter to the over the top action anime from yesteryear, I don't know if anything seems connected past the ecchi aspects of it, which is also something people want to deny exists a lot of the time because "it's different" or "because it has depth and meaning to the series itself" which is also absurd to me because the sexualization aspect of KLK is the only consistent thread that I've seen in various interpretations of it making it hard to believe that the point of it all wasn't related to its ecchi. So much conversation about it revolves around the sexual aspects of it and there is so little room to reasonably deny that it's an ecchi, yet it seems so common for people to want to do so. I will continue to be salty about this, at least until the threshold is set to where it wouldn't surpass many other anime tagged as ecchi in terms of stuff like that. Until then, if Nazo no Kanojo X is tagged as an ecchi, then KLK is an ecchi too, because that is ridiculously inconsistent and bullshitty. But whatever, I'm going off-topic with all of that.

I didn't take anything deep out of it myself, but then again I don't actively think or search for these things so that should be taken with a grain of salt. I just really have trouble believing that there's as much to it as people say there is because of how it tends to be presented and how the only common thread found in it is so vaguely defined.

But even throwing out all of that nonsense about deeper meaning, I wouldn't go back and watch it because I found it so relentlessly annoying and loud on top of just not having enough pretty girls to make up for how much it annoyed me that I don't even care enough to go back and try to substantiate any of those claims. The presentation of it - how unforgivingly loud and derpy it was, how it always played that song about not losing your way that made me want to jab a pencil into my ears because I was so sick of hearing it,and pretty much everything Digibro said in that one video that was nothing except getting mad at people for having the audacity to not like the way it looked- just annoyed me on such a level that I don't even want to rewatch it to try to interpret what is stupid and what is grounded in reality, because having people get mad at me for being unfair and criticizing the idea that it isn't as deep as they say it is without even attempting to look for anything resembling depth myself would be totally preferable to sitting through the anime that completely killed the idea of a no-drop policy for me. I am never subjecting myself to something that annoys me so much all the way to its end again.

But hey, Nonon was a cute, so it will always have that +1 and I will never attempt to take that away from it

Erased is not about who the killer is but how the hero will win.

The notorious Endless Eight arc in Suzumiya's second season is a risky artistic decision that enhances the sequel movie because you (partially) experienced it too just like her...

Anohana was allright, not much more.

Shiki fell terribly flat unfortunately

There are probably some more but they're escaping me right now...

Oh, and speaking of Haruhi, I actually found the Endless Eight preferable to the Movie Making story that followed it. I feel like the Endless Eight was a slog through and through, but it wasn't anything that I found to be outright disgusting like the way Haruhi acted in that arc, which was literally nothing short of drugging and trying to have quietforgettablegirl raped pretty much. I mean, I know I'm into some weird shit that could be called immoral, but...non-consent stuff like that, or pressuring and bullying like that without any comeuppance - they actually blamed MC guy for telling her to fuck off for acting that way ffs - is too far for me.

That's actually what made me give up on Haruhi, not the Endless Eight .-. Then again, I don't even think I finished that arc. I saw where it tried to say he was in the wrong for scolding Haruhi for the shit she was doing and felt completely disgusted by that, so I just quit there.

best one would be HxH is one of the most overrated anime in mal top 10, and togashi should stop writing it and just end it b4 it starts to bite him in the ass
(too much?, idk)

2nd would be i did not like the planetes anime adaptation, at all, like it's a low 5 for me rn

3rd one idk if this counts as unpopular since i didnt ask, i actually prefer kinko nasu's other franchise, tsukihime, over fate
reiwa weebs will unironically tell u they want a remake or sequel but when they get it ,its suddenly souless and a cashgrab cause they dont like the thing anymore and cant fathom they grew out of it and must mean the show somehow became bad

I have so many of these...

-Gonzo's Hellsing is better than Ultimate and the manga.
-I've tried to watch Gintama and hated it. Boring.
-A villain having backstory is the worst thing that can happen to a story.
-All ecchi is equally shit.
-Yuri>Yaoi (This is not as unpopular but meh)
-I can't stand sexual fanservice of any kind, unless is shown for a motive related to the plot.
-OPM and AOT are alright, not good, but at least watchable.
-Goku's japanese voice is terrible, and despite how iconic it is, should be changed.
-Also, most voices of shounen protagonists are shit.
-If you say you understand a 2deep4you anime, definitely you're stupid.
-Slapstick is overrated.
-Black comedy is only funny if the victim was completely innocent.
-A backstory doesn't make a character good. (I'm looking at you Caesar Zeppeli)
-Caesar Zeppeli is the worst JoBro.
-Battle Tendency is the worst part.
-Joseph Joestar is overrated.
-Studio Ghibli is overrated.
-The best anime studios right now are Trigger and David Production.
-LN adaptations should stop already.
-Moe anime is alright if watched moderately, too much is boring.
-English dub are always terrible. Face it.
One man is no more than another, if he do no more than what another does.

I actually find Miyazaki's work to be trite and uninspired overall. While I have to admit, the shows are gorgeous to look at, the fantasy and magical elements thrown in often feel more like window-decorations and flourishes to me than anything that actually has substance. They are whimsical for the sake of being whimsical, which is not something I find particularly interesting or unique.

One day I'll come back and watch a bunch of Miyazaki works, but it'll be a real chore to get through...

I can assure you that Okabe doesn't get any easier to tolerate. I got 7 episodes in and really wish I stopped where you did. Additionally, I actually like slow-moving time-travel narratives, so the fact that S;G messed up that bad is baffling.
