Some music videos are a treat to not only listen to, but also look at.
Rate the MV above and post your favourite MV.
You are rating the MV, the song will ofc be a part of it but not the priority in your rating.

Thanks for the set viraat :)

great thread idea, OP!
I rate it 6/10 which means I quite like it! The big heads remind me of the most cursed music video ever made
Warning: watch at your own risk!
relatable quote from the comment section: I remember seeing this in a barbers shop when I was younger and this shit made me cry

7/10, it genuinely makes me laugh, even if to be honest it's only the second time i'm watching it, and the first one was only some months ago. In hindsight, it's odd how i never saw it back then when it was new, it was a big hit in early 2004, i was turning 18, but probably was watching a little less MTV compared to 2002 or 2003. Whatever, this is a insane video and very different from what i expected, the 2000's were very weird sometimes and i'm old enough to remember...

from the same months.

Nice idea.

That mv is interesting as it hits the specific vibe of 80s which reminds me highly of Excalibur movie and Labyrinth
7/10

Here's a MV [after watching it, if you want you can put it into your list as it is here as an entry]

8/10. I like the how they animated the dance moves. I think they probably used a 3d model for reference and made it 2d. Plus they really nailed the pop art theme.

@_untitled i am glad you liked it. It's one of my fav fun songs that cheers me up ^^

8/10, my probable first film ever was Roger Rabbit in 1990 so i've always been fond of mixing live action and animated characters... the concept is cool and well executed, not even counting some unfortunate very relatable lyrics

9,5/10, it's a easy win with this music video and at least two or three more of this singer (Steam immediately comes at second place at least for me)

Creativity and practical effects are off the charts for a music video from 1986 (as old as me), and it doesn't even bother me than in hindsight i discovered only about a decade ago those lyrics and visuals are metaphors for making love, something i don't care about at all.

2:31 has always been and will probably always stay my favorite moment in this, "Face-fruit-man", lol. Wonderful. Second place... the dancing headless chickens i think. And there's a lot more to pick.

6,5/10... so absurd it made me chuckle a bit, but the best part was represented by the fake newspapers at the end... i would unironically prefer this as the highest grossing movie ever instead of that avengers stuff and listen to this song compared to kanye west stuff.

5/10, i'm sorry... didn't enjoy the song and the music video was slightly better, but it's not my cup of tea being about car chasing and stuff. For what it's worth, i almost thought it was shoot through the streets of italian cities i know.

Meh ? Video is a 5, song's a 3.

One of my old time favorite music video. Damon Albarn was such a cutie patootie back then. Huge glow down compared to when I went to a Gorillaz concert a few years ago. He wasn't exactly bad looking but man had a beer belly and a pink T-shirt that was wayyy too tight for him. I love the confidence but still... (T^T)

8/10, both the song and music video. It's impossible to go wrong with this band at least until Think Tank included, and their italian concert on 28/7/2013 was so damn amazing to attend (i also bought 13 in a music store the same day). This was the song released as a single that ended the britpop chapter of Blur discography and somehow in hindsight i can see some symbolism with that guy that, regardless, can't get away from the band even if it will switch its style soon after. Also, in late 2012 i bought a blue winter jacket almost exactly (on purpose...) like the one Graham Coxon is wearing.

9/10 Can't believe I've never watched the clip before despite listening to the Californication album over and over again during high school. Such a good song, such a good album.
