| That was an ecellent end to an excellent arc. Why the hell cant Nia sit on my lap like that ~_~ I'd fight harder too if there was a girl on my lap in the cocpit like that. Anyways i liked how the little harem turned into drills to power up that guy's lagann. The fight was pretty awesome too, although i dont know how Nia and Simon never gave each other concussions during the whole ordeal. |

| Totally epic, but for some reason the subs on only this episode were totally screwed up for me, which really ticked me off, they took up 1/4 of the screen and didn't fit so I couldn't read what was going on about 75% of the time. Luckily it wasn't too important in this episode. |

| Well now...this episode was not disappointing. And I expected a lot. I also liked the fact Nia and Simon got to work as a team some. That part where they had the splitscreen of Simon and Nia screaming. I was waiting for something like that all series. |

| Awesome episode :O Best bit was after the fight, when suddenly the girl says "It's Gurren Lagann!" and then the theme music kicked in... awesome. This series is too epic, I wonder how it'll continue. |

| Ugh the torrent I downloaded has episode 15-25 corrupt so I have to watch those episodes online now. :( Favorite Lines- "What we're gonna show them isn't the Black Siblings power...It's Dai-Gurren Brigade's!!!" and "Believe in me who believes in you. We can still fight!" "I am Simon. Dai-Gurren Brigade's leader, Simon the Digger! If you are going to be wall blocking my way then...I'll drill a hole in you and blow you apart anytime! That is...my drill!" Favorite Scenes-Whole...fucking...episode...so epic This episode's art looked darker than the last episode. Did anyone else not hear a single "Who the hell do you think I am!?" |

| *Sigh* - Helix King -> On Steroid - His Ganmen -> Reminds me of Freezer in Dragon Ball Z - The fight between Helix King and Simon -> Even greatly resembles Dragon Ball Z => Suddenly I realise how childish this series is. Everything, everyone is so CHEESY. it's sickening. Especially that Nia. Plus a bunch of idiots on the Dai-Gurren. Real idiots, unlike Kamina. *Sigh*... I've given this series too much hope. Being rated 9.01, I guess it's all from the 10-14 years old... Same thing with Naruto. Disappointed ! I never did like kids' anime to begin with. I kept watching because of Kamina. Guess it's over now. From episode 1-8 I'd give it an 8. From 9 till now, this series deserves only a 7 at most... Oh well, anyway, I don't have a habit of dropping anime, so I'll see it till the end. Hope it could change my opinions once again... |

But not only the battle was awesome in this one; the music was awesome, the characters were awesome, and Nia was extra awesome, not because of anything in particular, but just because. So, this episode almost makes me want to quit watching the show right here and now, because everything turned out <3. |

| The show has risen to a new level with the end of this episode. Looking forward to the next arc, wonder where this will go now +). A bit too generic with the revival after Simon got beat up so bad, but this series is still awesome. 5/5 episode. |

| Simon's character has grown a lot. The next episode will be a sad one because we will remember Kamina! x( Can't wait to see what will come next. This series is so full of surprises. |
| This was a really good episode, but I get the feeling I know exactly where the rest of the series is going. ie why the Helix King thought he was the guardian of humanity and why he thinks the spiral is going to burden Simon. Oh, Jet Black. Why did you have to turn evil? Did someone clip your bonsai tree? |

| I don't really see why we should turn off our brain while watching Gurren Lagann, it has a simple story and simple characters but it still has it and it's far from being only a pretext action fights and frenzy. |

| Oh boy... the dialogue, the fact that somehow the mech's speak out of their mouth's, the character designs for most of the characters, the fact that the show relies on GAR so much to entertain us, and so many other things. Once again, just because I say it is ridiculous does not mean i'm not enjoying the show. I am, but you can't tell me that the show isn't ridiculous. That is part of it's appeal, at least to me. |

| The mecha and the chara design aren't elements fo the plot. Same for the GAR whole thing. They don't have any incidence on the story and on the characters devellopment. They are just elements to give a funny and light atmosphere but that doesn't means they kills all the seriousness of the story. You can do something entertaining and with a solid yet simplistic plot, it's not like it's two things totally incompatible. Top Wo Narae also has a ridiculous mecha design, but that doesn't mean it's not serious. |

And, yes, I do think the character design does effect the seriousness ,and my enjoyment, of the show. And, I never said you can't do anything with a simplistic plot. Look at shows like Spice & Wolf, it has a simple story but the characters are so well done it doesn't even matter. |

| I used Top Wo Narea as an example to say that a show can have a ridiculous mecha design while being serious, that wasn't a comparison. Also I would agree that the mecha design and the chara design can kill the credibility of a series. But that's about all, I don't think a show with a funny chara design can't be serious. As in my opinion, Gurren Lagann has an awesome story that borrows perfectly the whole oversize idea. Also the fact that the plot is really simple help a lot to give it a dynamism I've never seen in any anime. |
