This song hit me so hard, I recently just found out my wife has been cheating on me and I've been noticing a drinking problem starting to take place. So I listen to this song to help me realize I don't need to drink to feel better. Thanks for this song man, keep up the good work and can't wait to see what you come up with next
I was also cheated on and eventually left for her “best friend”, breaking up our family only to have him turn around and choose someone else. Just deserts. Keep your chin up. Put the drink down. You’re the better person for your loyalty. It’s ironic how men are pre-judged by society as liars and cheaters yet it’s opposite of what’s really going on out there. Of the 6 close friend or personal long term relationships I’ve seen break up over the last couple of years , it’s been the wife/girlfriend cheating on the husband/ boyfriend. Most recent she was making out with a guy in a bar and was filmed by the husband’s friend where he received it as a text message in the middle of the night when she was supposed to be visiting her sick mother. Just saying this stuff happens and it sucks but keep your guard up, you will find trust again.
And about the song, I wish there were more verses - I feel like it needs more, like there’s a bigger story that the masses can relate to, just like your story, and mine. The lengths we go to to find trust and love and the damage and confusion it causes when it comes crashing down seemingly out of nowhere, as we dig through the wreckage trying to piece it all together, how it came to be this way just so we can understand. I feel like this song just scratches the surface, Peter, you’ve got something huge here - I wish you tremendous success.
I totally agree with you, we do get bashed on as being the unfaithful and liars. Don't get me wrong u know it happens on both side but I've been in a few relationships where I've been cheated on before. Which also sucked but I was younger and wasn't married and had that commitment. It just feels different and harder when your married and invested so much more into your relationship. We will be happy one day I know that for a fact. It will just take awhile and a lot of work to do on myself before that happens. I have been slowing down on the drinking these last few days but still find it hard at times. It is not a good way to escape the pain and I've been realizing that. I wish you the best of luck with your problems to brother. Your future will be bright and full of happiness too. It may not be now but it will be coming.
